A family had all of their Christmas stockings stolen while they were on holiday in Williamsburg. They had been knit by a family member who had passed away. Having heard that I agreed to knit replacement stockings for the family. Soooo…Father, Mother and 2 daughters will all be getting new stockings this year. I had no idea what they looked like. He said he’d be happy with anything as long as it was handknit. The original ones were knit by his mother. Can you imagine someone doing that? It still makes me shake my head in disbelief. So many people asked me for the pattern I decided to write it up!

There are variations for the men in your life! Cindy Lu Who is a detailed pattern and the stocking is knit from ruffle to toe. I will add other photos as I get them. I have knit 7 of them so far and plan to knit a “vintage” one in Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece(using smaller needles) so that will be up too.
