’Circles in the sand’ is a round yoke, top-down summer crochet sweater / t-shirt with circle and wave motifs made with the filet crochet technique.

It makes a great tee for summer days and warm evenings, festivals and to throw over a swim suit and shorts at the beach.

Skills Used
The pattern uses extended double crochets with the filet crochet technique. Charts for the filet sections are included in the pattern as well as full written instructions.
The pattern uses the chainless foundation stitches to start.
Knowledge of basic crochet stitches, techniques and terminology is assumed.

Materials
The pattern uses a sport weight yarn (though a light DK that matches gauge may suffice) and a 4.5mm crochet hook.
The sample pictured used We Crochet (Knit Picks) approximately 8(10, 11, 12) balls of We Crochet, Galileo, 50% merino wool, 50% viscose from bamboo, 50g ball = 120m / 131yds. Shade: Stardust (T061)

Sizes
The pattern is designed to be oversized with positive ease and short/elbow length sleeves. It is written in 4 women’s sizes to fit bust 76-158cm
