After searching high and low for a soaker pattern that was tight enough not to need a drawstring, I finally wrote my own. Having a newborn around to try on each new attempt was very helpful in finally getting it right. Of course, by then he wasn’t a newborn…

I first wrote this pattern for our business (www.closeknitstore.com) to sell the finished product. But since then I’ve had several requests to purchase the pattern.
