Put down all those adult coloring books and start coloring with your yarn. I call this, “Coloring Outside of the Lines,” because it looks like I grabbed any color I wanted and colored outside every line. The black lines in the top part of the shawl are slipped stitches; so, there is no fancy color work; and, on the lower half of the shawl the black line is two rows of a simple lace pattern. The lace pattern is also a kind of “outside the box” pattern, because you work all your increases in the first row, and get back to your normal stitch count on the third row. I bound off with a color to continue the theme of coloring outside of the lines.

The is is 45” Across and 18” Deep and drapes beautiful because the lace portion of the shawl is larger than the stockinette portion. It also looks nice tied around the waist.
