The Columbine Cowl is a versatile accessory that will inspire every knitter. One project can be elegant with laceweight yarn and beads, another can be cosy and warm when using slightly thicker yarn, and all of this from just one pattern.
When it gets cold and your ears freeze, you can pull the long neck part up over your ears.
It is also easy to knit because the stitches that form the lace are, except for the edging, knitted only on every fourth row. The other three rows are just plain stockinette.

Der Columbine Cowl ist ein vielseitiges Accessoire, das jede Strickerin begeistern wird. Ein Cowl kann elegant sein, mit Lacewolle und Perlen gestrickt, ein anderer warm und kuschelig mit dickerer Wolle gestrickt. Und all das mit nur einer Anleitung.
Wenn es kalt wird und die Ohren frieren kann man den Halsteil des Cowls auch über die Ohren ziehen.
Das Muster ist schnell gestrickt und dennoch abwechslungsreich, man strickt bis auf den Spitzenrand nur in jeder vierten Reihe Lochmuster. Die anderen drei Reihen werden einfach glatt rechts gestrickt.
