THE CORD SOLES

Customized Method for ANY foot-size and foot-shape, infant to giant!

Doable for all handy crafters.
No sole-hole-punching! No seaming!
The slippers will be joined to the soles, or you can continue to crochet a shoe in rounds on top of the sole.

Note that sealant/glue is involved in the creating of this sole.

The plain shape of Espadrillas, is my great inspiration designing crochet slippers.
Espadrillas are originally simple canvas shoes with rope-soles, handmade in Spain for hundreds of years (and other places world-wide, only named differently).
The traditional soles are not for amateurs to make, and surly it’s not easy to achieve the right size!

This sole is my final solution in order to turn crochet slippers into shoes for street-wear!

If you find this method overwhelming, try the fast and easy method: the DOOR-MAT SOLES!

The Crochet Soles Any size Customized are great too, thinner though.

Discounted pattern-bundle with all three sole solutions:
E-Book 3 Options for Out-soles HOW TO Turn slippers into Espadrilles for street-wear!

Joining out-soles to basic slippers, has several advantages.
They protect your slippers against wear and tear, makes them sturdy, and comfortable to walk and wear, it looks nice, and not least;
It turns your home slippers into street shoes!

Handmade insoles will add extra comfort and softness, and keep the slippers in shape.
Personalize the soles with matching fabric, …. and labels! A very good gift-idea!

Materials for sole-cord are available all over the world!
It’s only packing-twine!
Find it at home, or in any construction- or hardware store, craft-store, office supplier, supermarket (HW- or office department).
Or purchase on-line, search for: Twine>Hemp>Supply

My experience is that hemp-twine, worked into a thicker cord, create the best Cord-Sole.
About 2 mm thick is good.
