These unisex mitts, inspired by the landscape of the Scottish Highlands, are perfect for keeping out the chill on a long walk in the hills.

Finished circumference 17.5 (20, 22.5) cm / 7 (8, 9) in.

Jamieson and Smith 2-ply Jumperweight 25g = 114m / 115yds
1 (2, 2) balls in Red shade 93 (MC)
1 (1, 1) ball in Dark Grey shade 81 (CC1)
1 (1, 1) ball in Mid Grey shade 54 (CC2)
1 (1, 1) ball in Pale Grey shade 27 (CC3)

When choosing a yarn to substitute, select a sticky wool yarn. I would recommend a woolen spun yarn as this will allow show the fairisle pattern to the best advantage.
