It was a bit serendipitous that I discovered how well my Cotty sock pattern worked as fingerless gloves. I was knitting a children’s sock by following the sport weight version of the pattern with fingering yarn. To admire the colors, as a knitter often does, I put the leg of the sock on my arm. It fit perfectly as a fingerless glove and thus, this pattern was born.

Pattern is written for either fingering or worsted weight yarn, with two different lengths.
