This pattern includes instructions for a trim-fitting cowl and a longer, scarf-like cowl are knit in the round and feature twisted-stitch patterns and simple ribbing.

Please note that the longer cowl took all but about 12 g of the final skein of yarn. You may wish to purchase another skein for insurance to be sure you can complete the cowl as written if your gauge varies slightly.

Vermont is filled with historic wooden covered bridges. Each is a work of art in construction with interlocking support beams for the roof and the floor. These beautiful bridges dot the landscape throughout the state and are a fun serendipitous find on a drive along back country roads during fall foliage time.
