Cosy cable socks for kids
These socks are originally designed for my son, I wanted him to have warm socks for preschool, something precious to wear, and interesting to knit. This is a fairly quick knit, interesting stitch pattern and some new things to learn for the inexperienced knitter.
The socks are knitted from the toe and up. On the front of the sock is a honeycomb cable and broken rib with twisted stitches, at the back there is a horseshoe cable. The heel is worked using the “short row technique” using shadow wraps, this is a very nice and clean short row technique, with absolutely no gaps.
There are photo instructions in the pattern and 6 instructional videos to help with knitting techniques. The videos can be found on my website: www.inspiredbyknitting.com under the knitting techniques tab
