Minecraft Hat For Grown-Ups: Kids who got hooked on Minecraft when it was new are now the young adults (and maybe slightly older adults) of today ;) so it’s only proper for them to have an updated and modern urban beanie which reflects their investment in the game!
Knit in a fine tight gauge with a full interior lining this beanie will take a little extra time to create, but will last for ages with proper care - and be double-warm too.

The sample pictured uses knits and purls to create the pixel texture; in the pattern a more subtle alternate version is also offered, which uses knits and twisted knits. Choose your preference before you begin! (For a more heavily variegated yarn, the twisted knit version might be a little TOO subtle, but will look great on a solid green).

Uses 1x 100g skein of 4ply green for the shell and 1x 100g skein 4ply black for the motif and lining. You will need a 2mm needle on 40cm cable and a longer cable or DPNs for the crown, plus some waste yarn for the provisional cast on (if you don’t like the invisible method feel free to use your preferred way), and a blunt tapestry needle.

Sized for teens and adults with brim width 26cm (remember the lining will add thickness to the hat and give a firmer fit) and height 26cm for a bit of urban slouch.
