The Cresson sock is an ankle-length sock with a leaf texture pattern beginning at the cuff, travelling down to the heel, covering the top of the foot and ending at the toe. It is worked top down in standard 4ply fingering weight yarn. It begins with a short twisted stitch rib, has a flap and gusset heel with slip stitch twisted stitches on the heel flap and ends with a star toe.

The inspiration for these socks is obvious as it is literal, lots of little leaves, covering the socks, adding texture and interest, both to the wearer and the knitter
