There are 2 designs in 3 sizes: crib (32”x32”), blanket (36”x45”) & afghan (48”x60”). This pattern includes yardage needed for doing these 2 designs in 5 gauges (6, 5.5, 5, 4, 3.5 = 1”). Pick out the yarn & design you want. Make a swatch using the needle recommended by the yarn and check the gauge. Pick out the size you want. The chart will tell you how much yarn is needed & how many stitches to cast on.
