One of my first published patterns, so feedback would be greatly appreciated!

This was inspired by the “Rapunzel Scarf” on the cover of the November 2011 Interweave Crochet Accessories. I really, really, wanted to see this as a cowl, and worked in one piece - I hate to do any more sewing than necessary! I also wanted a wider piece in the process.

This cowl is worked in one piece so that the five braid strands are joined onto a single foundation row. Then you braid the strands together and sew the ends to join for a cowl. I have made this in both of the suggested yarns, and they are my two favorite warm winter cowls. Getting the braid strands to line up at the end can be a bit fiddly, but a little bit of patience will get it all in order.
