’Crochet del mar’ is an asymmetric triangle shawl pattern with a gentle arc to echo the crest of a wave. This minimal modern shawl uses an elegant herringbone crochet stitch which gives it plenty of drape.

Skills Used
This is a relatively simple shawl, worked in rows using the herringbone double crochet (described in the pattern with a link to a video, photo and written tutorial), simple increases and decreases.

Materials
The shawl pictured used a 4mm crochet hook and just less than one Scheepjes whirl in shade Turquoise Turntable (1000m, 215-215g, 60% Cotton, 40% Acrylic, 100g = 450m).

Size
The finished shawl measures 190cm / 76in wingspan and 92cm / 37in deep at its widest point. It is easy to alter the size by adjusting the number of rows worked.
