Lion Brand Pattern #: chs-throw

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate (Level 3)

Homespun® (Article #790) 7 balls
Shown in Shaker

Crochet Hook - Size K-10.5 (6.5 mm)

Pattern incorporates Loop Stitch, using finger to lengthen yarn to make ‘shag’ texture. (See photo tutorial provided.)

Loop Stitch (lp st) is a variation of single crochet (sc) and is worked on the wrong-side rows because the loops form at the back of the fabric.

Use a 5” x 5” strip of cardboard for the border fringe. Sew a loop fringe edging to top and bottom of throw to finish.

Because of the texture of Homespun, the fringe will fray when cut. If you prefer a non-frayed look you can knot the ends, knit or crochet a fringe, or use hairspray or Fray CheckTM by Dritz®.
