One of the main purposes of my life is to knit a hat that will keep me warm through all days of Montreal’s winters. I’m getting close with this one! With its double ribbing and stranded colorwork, Crocus Hat is thick. If made with a warm fibre such as sheep or alpaca wool, it should be warm enough for most winters. The Fair Isle pattern is a little flower that I like to think of as a Crocus, a rustic flower that is often the first one to show through the snow.

Sizing: The small hat will fit a teen or a small lady. The medium hat will fit most.

Difficulty: Intermediate (provisional cast-on, working in the round, stranded colorwork)
