Cross of Cerdanya is a doily with an intriguing shape. Is it a square, cross, diamond, or even a star? Knit it up, block it out, and decide for yourself!

Cross of Cerdanya Doily was named after a similar shape found in heraldry: a square set on its corner with a semi-circular notch on each side. This doily is perfect on a small square table, or as a centerpiece on larger furnishings.

Fingering yarn: 250 yards. You will need additional yardage if you use a heavier weight yarn. Those using lace weight will use less.
Needles: US size 5 for fingering weight yarns, 5 double pointed needles, plus circular needles in the same size.
Tapestry needle: for weaving in ends.

Knitted in heavy fingering to sport weight yarn, this doily measures 26” across on the longest diagonal after blocking. Measured horizontally across the diamond section (3 diamonds on each side of the center), it is 17”.

As with all of my patterns, you may sell the doilies you knit, but please do not reproduce this pattern for others. Thanks!
