This pattern is for a adult one-size cowl. However, depending on the hook size and yarn type, this pattern includes instructions to turn it into a wider scarf and also to make it into a cape or shawl.

Gauge is not extremely important, nor is exact stitch count. The pattern explains what to do if stitch count is short or over.

I used worsted weight yarns, and testers have used dk, aran, and bulky yarns. The pattern includes “Alternate” instructions for multiple rows if a less-full look is desired.

The samples shown in the pattern include using 2 yarn colors to go with the pattern instructions, as well as using a self-changing colorway yarn in one piece with no ends to weave (my favorite!).
