Crux is a knitted take on a chic couture style belt with a pattern of subtle alternating crosses along the length. The belt is knit to the desired length and finished with a fabric backing to stabilize and strengthen it (requires basic sewing skills). It can be made with a buckle or as a tie-on belt. The width of the belt is approximately 6.5 cm/2 ½ inches.

It is purposely knit on small needles, at a tight gauge for the yarn weight. This is to make the fabric dense and robust so that it is not just decorative, but also practical enough to work as a functional belt (when backed).
