Holiday promo: This pattern comes with a bonus pattern - Santa Hat and Scarf.

A small size ami that can sit on your hand, desk or computer, can be attached on your bag as charm, or used as keychain attachment.
This is the first in a series of pet dog amigurumis that I was suddenly inspired to create, out of my growing love for family pet dogs. (Bottom pic shows my first three family pet-inspired creations :))
This crochet creation was inspired by a real life pet Dachshund, Missy. She’s the family dog of my son’s g.f. I only saw her picture. After a few weeks I found the inspiration to make an amigurumi likeness, and created it as a gift :)

This is a one-skein project, with only a small amount of other color yarn needed; it can be made in one color if you wish.

Skill Level: Intermediate (with some sewing skill required)
Materials:
Red Heart Acrylic yarn, one small skein (15 gms), brown; a few yards of black
Crochet hook size 3.5mm (6/0), and 1.75mm (for optional crocheted snout)
Black crochet thread for sewing and embroidering
Sewing and Tapestry Needle, stitch markers
2 small black beads for eyes
Polyester fiberfill for stuffing (you can also use yarn scraps)
Small amount plastic pellets or plastic beads for stuffing (optional)

Finished Size: approximately 3 inches tall
Note: Finished size will depend on gauge as well as how tightly it is stuffed.
