Yarn
I used 6 ( 6, 6, 7, 8, 8 ) skeins of Isager Merlin, 80 wool and 20% linen in light blue, 50 gr, 208m and 5 ( 6, 6, 6, 7, 8 ) skeins of Isager Silk Mohair 75% kid mohair, 25% silk in Seafoam, 25 gr, 212m I knit the two yarns together.
Alternative yarn choices include:
Knit one yarn single 6 ( 7, 7, 7, 8, 9 ) skeins such as Tosh VIntage or Cascade 220 Heathers
Any yarn such as that gets 4.75 stitches to the inch will work.
Supplies
Size 8 and 9 knitting needle You may need to adjust your needle size after knitting a swatch
Size 8, 32” circular needle for the neck. Alternatively, you may use a circular needle instead of straight needles to knit the body. I like using a circular needle, especially when I travel as there is less chance of losing your second needle.
Tapestry needle
Tape measure
5 1Buttons
Gauge
18 stitches over 4 inches or 4.75 stitches per inch using a #9 needle. You may need to go up or down a needle size depending on your knitting style to get this gauge. Knit a swatch first!
