This pattern is designed for the following: Small ladies US size 6,
Medium ladies US size 8 and Large ladies US size 10. For the sock’s cuff and calf the circumference will be Ladies small: 38 cm/15 in, Ladies medium: 39 cm/15.5 in and Ladies large: 40 cm/16 in.

For the sock’s foot, the Small size has an approximate circumference of 22 cm (8 ½ in) as measured just above the ankle and at the arch of the foot. Medium has an approximate circumference of 24 cm (~ 9 in) and the Large size measured at the same two points will be 25 cm (~10 in).

The sock should have a small amount of negative give in all directions in order to fit properly. The most important is that you can pull the cuff over the ankle/instep portion of the foot.

This pattern was designed for production using the magic loop method although could be easily adapted to using a set of 5 double point needles.
