Diagonal Rib Cowl and Scarf
by Joan Janes
This stitch pattern is reversible, non-rolling and easily memorized - great for a cowl or scarf project!
Make your cowl long enough to wrap twice around your neck for extra warmth (as in this pattern), or make a smaller version that will tuck easily into coat. 8 x 24 or 8 x 28” works well.
If you want to use a heavier yarn such as Cascade Eco Cloud, cast on 120 sts for the smaller version using an 8.00 mm circular, or cast on 220 sts for the larger version. This pattern is easily adjustable - just cast on a multiple of 4 sts.
