A quick and easy twist on the traditional “Grandmother’s Favorite”-type corner-to-corner washcloth. This version includes alternating stripes of stockinette and reverse stockinette for interest and texture. Gauge is not critical to this project, but size can be adjusted by going up or down needle sizes or using different yarn weights.

Designed to be a quick knit with worsted weight kitchen cotton, this dishcloth is worked flat with simple knit and purl stitches, decreases, and yarn overs.

Errata:
A typo has been discovered in a note in the pattern about where to end in the pattern repeat when working to a different size. The correction is below; once my computer is up and running again I will update the pattern accordingly!

Repeat Rows 7-9 until you have 44 stitches on your needles (or until the cloth reaches half your desired finished size; be sure to end after Row 9 if increasing to a different size than specified).
