Originally designed for my teenaged nephew, this hat is perfect for cold and snowy winters. The stranded knitting provides added warmth and earflaps assure your ears will stay covered. Short rows are incorporated for the earflaps to allow for an entirely seamless construction.

Two charts are provided for each design. The first is a simple chart of the repeatable pattern and a separate chart for crown shaping. The second is an expanded chart that allows you to visualize how the simple chart fits into the design.

The hat uses roughly 125 yards of main color and 100 yards of contrast color.

A photo tutorial is included for the Latvian Braid.
