My daughter spends too much time on Pinterest and once again emails me a photo and says “Hey Mom, can you make this?”. It was a photo of a dog sweater with dinosaur spikes. Cute. Yep, pretty sure I can pattern this one.

So what you see in the photo is my first effort on this dog sweater. Overall length is about 15 inches. Total circumference is 21 inches. In the end, the leg openings I’d created extra generous could be shortened up a bit. I sewed on the spikes one at a time. Next time I would probably sew them together in a strip, and attach that. I’m also not entirely sure just how much yarn this took. I was using up left over Caron Simply Soft Yarn from other projects. I’m guessing it’s about 1/2 a skein.

As for Skye, she seems to enjoy her new sweater, especially since this has been a very snowy winter with more on the way.

This piece is knit flat. To finish, sew seam from neckline to start of tail shaping.
