Dizzy Diagonal Socks
The challenge with handpainted yarns can often be finding a way to use the dramatic colour changes to the design’s advantage, rather than picking a design that can be easily obscured. For this pattern, I designed a toe-up sock that uses simple chevrons of knit and purl. It’s simple enough to stand up to busy colours, but far from plain and boring. My favorite part?
The chevrons begin at the very tip of the toe.
