The bag is knitted in the round from side to side using steeks. Stitches are then picked up and the top band is knitted on. There are full instructions and photos of how to do this.

The following colours were used in the original, but this is a perfect pattern for using up odds and ends of skeins!
3 x 25 g balls shade 1 white
1 ball each of:
26 apple (discontinued) FC24
79 green
16 pale blue (discontinued) 14
18 royal blue
44 lilac (discontinued) 49
20 purple
73 orange (discontinued) 93
125 terracotta
52 cerise (discontinued) 1403
46 yellow (discontinued) 23
91 gold

Notes
The actual amounts of the colours are about 15 g of the green (79) and 10 g of the others. Total bag weight, including thick twisted cord handles was 160 g. Some colours are now discontinued. The possible replacements are listed besides the ones I used.

Size
