Dolphins leap round the hem of this tunic, and on the front and back yokes. If you don’t want it so long, you can ignore the bottom panel and start knitting above the waves.

There are 10 sizes from 32” to 77” chest, with the hips measurement being 3 to 5” bigger than the chest. Shaping is done by changing needle size.

The tunic is knitted in the round from the hem up. At the armholes, the body splits and the front and back are knitted separately and stitches are left at the underarms. Shoulder extension are knitting on to the front, then the shoulders are closed with a three needle cast off on the wrong side (or by grafting if preferred). The neck is then worked in the round. The sleeves are then picked up from the armholes and knitted in the round down to the cuffs.

The pattern is written out twice, each having 5 sizes.
