Been in and out of too many hospitals in the last 4 months. My trapped elbow nerve surgery will be next week. End is not in sight yet. But hopefully soon. ;-)

So you know my broken elbow and my cut up tummy is to be blamed for this cute pattern.
It wouldn’t have come into existence without it :)
So the saying “you never know what it’s good for” applies :)

I somehow managed to knit it as kind of physio exercise. I just couldn’t resist.

Doctor asked me on one hospital visit, why I looked so pale.
I said: “I’m not fond of going to the hospital .”
He said: “Neither am I.” :)

The beanie has a two color ribbing, followed by hospital charts:
ambulances, little hospital buildings, stethoscopes, syringes, little red emergency rescue helicopters and the typical hospital green shirts doctors wear and red crosses.

It has a cute little crown, too.

You can knit it in any 4-ply yarn (I used Acrylic and 4-ply sock yarn).

There are only three rows with three colors in one round. All the other rounds are real fair isle, so at most two colors in one round.
So it’s easier to knit than you may think!

I dedicate this beanie to doctors, nurses and all other hospital staff. You all do a great job!

It would be great if you would show me your thumbs up for my hopefully last surgery next week by giving this pattern your fav.

War in den letzten 4 Monaten zu oft im Krankenhaus. Nächste Woche soll mein Ellbogennerv in einer OP befreit werden.
Hoffentlich ist dann bald alles vorbei.

Also wisst Ihr, wer an dem Muster “schuld” ist. Meine gebrochener Ellbogen und das malträtierte Bäuchlein.
Ohne die beiden hätte es dieses Muster vermutlich nie gegeben.
Also trifft hier wieder mal mein Motto: “Wer weiß, wofür’s gut ist” zu.

Ich hab das Muster als Physioübung gestrickt. Ich konnte einfach nicht widerstehen.

In der Sprechstunde in der Ambulanz im Krankenhaus hat mich der Arzt gefragt, warum ich so blass bin.
Darauf hab ich gesagt: “Ich geh nicht gern ins Krankenhaus.”
Darauf er: “Ich auch nicht.” :)

Die Beanie hat einen zweifarbigen Bund im typischen Krankenhausgrün und wird gefolgt von kleinen Krankenhauscharts:
Krankenwagen, kleine Krankenhausgebäude, Stethoscope, Spritzen, kleinen roten Rettungshubschraubern, den typischen grünen Arztkittelchen und roten Kreuzen.
Auch der Mützenabschluss hat was :)

Sie ist mit 4-fach Acryl - und 4-fach Sockenwolle gestrickt.
Ihr könnt aber auch Merinogarn verwenden.

3 Runden verwenden 3 Farben, ansonsten sind es wie gewohnt maximal 2 Farben pro Runde.
Sie ist also einfacher zu stricken als es aussieht.

Ich widme das Muster allen Ärzten und Krankenschwestern/Pflegern und allen anderen Krankenhausangestellten.
Ihr macht alle einen tollen Job!
