Dorset Cliffs is a colourful triangular shawl knitted from bottom up, worked entirely in garter stitch pattern, shaped with short rows technique. Easy, repetitive sections of this shawl make it a wonderful travel or holiday knit, a simple knitwear you can stop and start over after a short or longer break, with mindless and relaxing ocean of knitted stitches. The sample was worked in 6 colours, but you can use 2, 3 or more colours, depending on your own mood. It’s a wonderful project to be worked in gradient colour yarn, or to create an unique gradient colour wrap, using few shades of the same colour. The number of possibilities is endless and depends only on your own creativity.

Yarn:
6 skeins of Filcolana Arwetta Classic (230 yards/210 m – 50 g skein)

Sample was made in colours:
C1: spring green (220)
C2: pink (188)
C3: green melange (809)
C4: deep orchid (153)
C5: deep olive (148)
C6: dark grey (234)

Or any fingering weight yarn which knits up to given gauge.

Yardage: 1380 yards / 1260 m

Gauge: 20 sts x 32 rows – in garter stitch after blocking

The gauge is not crucial for this project, but big differences could affect the measurements of the finished garment and the yardage requirements.
