Dreaming of Summer can either be knitted as a cool summer top or longer as a beach cover-up or dress. The cotton/bamboo/silk blend yarn combined with plenty of extra ease provides for a beautiful top or dress that has a very comfortable feel.

This piece is worked from the tip of the straps, on to the lace and body, down to the hem almost seamlessly. Only 4 stitches at the center front and 6 stitches at the center back need to be grafted along the way. The body is worked in the round down to the hem. The lace edging is mirrored throughout the pattern, beginning along the top lace, continuing on the back and then repeated at the hem.

The model shown is a size M2 (36” bust) and is knit with CoBaSi in fingering weight.

Gauge 28 stitches x 40 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch, on US Size 4 (3.5 mm) needles; measured on a washed and blocked swatch. You are advised to achieve both row and stitch gauges for this pattern.
