Slouchy is in! And what better way to exploit the wonderful colors available in Knit Picks Palette Fingering yarn? I have chosen 7 of my favorite Palette colorways and combined them to form columns of competing gradients. (You can use my color choices or sub in your own color scheme.) The Dueling Gradients slouchy hat has an extra-deep corrugated rib to keep ears warm. The pattern contains not only instructions for the slouchy hat, but also instructions for matching fingerless mitts Now you see it--now you don’t! These wonderful mitts feature a secret pocket that is hidden to protect your valuables while you use your hands. The pocket is large enough to hold cash, credit card, metro card, keys, tissue, Chapstick, hand warmers, or even treats for when you walk Fido! Top can be unfolded to cover fingers, or folded down to cover pocket and expose those texting fingers. Layer over gloves for extra warmth and a nifty look. Stranding adds extra wool for extra warmth—another plus! My Dueling Gradients design is easy to knit, and it’s fun to watch the color changes as they develop in both projects.
