The Earth Shawl is a Top Down Crescent Shawl (from top to bottom) shaped like a Half Moon. It is knitted in flat, at the end of each row of the RS, we turn the work, and continue working for the WS.
It starts from the central area of the wingspan and continues knitting the Shawl top down, increasing the sts indicated in the pattern at both ends of the wingspan.
It is finished with an edge knitted in perpendicular to the sts in the needles.
All techniques are explained in the Special Techniques section.

For this design I used Arroyo yarns from Malabrigo Yarns.
Each ball is 100 gr / 305 m / 3 ½ oz / 335 yd.
Composition 100% Merino Superwash.
Sport Yarn Weight.

Colors:

• CA: Whales Road (azules), 100 gr.
• CB: Sunset (ocre), 100 gr.

Needles:

• Knitting needles 4 mm / US6
• If you are going to use circular, I recommend a cable of at least 80 cm.

Other notions:

• Stitch markers
• Tapestry wool needle
• Count rows (optional but highly recommended)

El Chal Earth es un Chal Creciente Top Down (de arriba hacia abajo) con forma de Media Luna. Se teje en plano, es decir que al final de cada hilera del LD, giramos la labor, y continuamos trabajando por el LR.
Se comienza desde el punto central de la envergadura y se continúa tejiendo el Chal hacia abajo, aumentando los puntos indicados en el patrón en ambos extremos de la envergadura.
Se finaliza con una guarda o cenefa tejida de manera perpendicular a los puntos vivos en las agujas.
Todas las técnicas se explican en el apartado Técnicas Especiales.

Materiales utilizados:

Para este diseño utilicé hilados Arroyo de Malabrigo.
Cada ovillo es de 100 gr/305 m/3 ½ oz/335 yd.
Composición 100% Merino Superwash. Calibre Sport.
Nota: esta calidad de lana estira mucho al bloquear.

Colores:

• CB: Sunset (ocre), 100 gr
• CA: Whales Road (azules), 100 gr

 
Herramientas:

• Agujas de punto 4 mm / US6

• Si vas a utilizar circulares, te recomiendo un cable de al menos 80 cm.
