4-ply worsted-weight yarn—4 ounces of tan for the basket, 1 ounce of black for the basket handles and 1 ounce each of blue, green, pink, purple, orange, yellow and coordinating variegated yarn for the eggs (or the colors of your choice)
cro­chet hooks—size G/6 (4.25mm) hook for basket and size H/8 (5mm) hook for eggs (or the sizes needed to obtain the correct gauge)
