This is very different from most of our other books. It has no modular knitting.

It is an amalgamation of Creating Knitwear Designs and Making Knitwear Fit, which were published, as a pair, in 1996, by Guild of Master Craftsman Publications. The original books were used by many college courses as well as individual knitters.

Creating Knitwear Designs includes

* Getting the shapes right
* Getting the size right
* Adding decoration

Making Knitwear Fit includes

* Calculating tension and the amount
of yarn
* The sums involved in planning all
parts of a garment
* Increasing, decreasing and picking
up stitches
* Placing pictures and patterns

You don’t get any sheep cartoons in this book but you will find a friendly snake, named Sir Pent, to lead you through one and a kangaroo, named Kangarule, in the other.
