A rich cable and lace motif is the perfect way to showcase a soft trophy yarn. In this scarf or stole, background eyelets illuminate a curvy foreground pattern accented by twists for depth. The resulting fabric is airy and light, yet offers luxuriant drape and texture when worked in an exotic fiber blend—it also shows an equally pretty pattern on the reverse side. The stitchwork here is deceptively undemanding and fairly intuitive, with just sixteen rows to the pattern; wrong side rows are worked in knit and purl only.
Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size and drape.
