Edythe is a darling top with puffed sleeves covered in ruffles! The shirt, tunic or dress is knit from the top down, with an off-centre button band on the back. The ruffles are knit after the top is complete by picking up stitches along ridges of purl stitches made on the sleeves.

While you are working raglan increases you must also create purl ridges on the sleeves for the sleeve ruffles, the button band, and join to knit in the round. The pattern calls for an invisible increase using m1r and m1l on either side of the raglan lines. A yo increase, which leaves a very feminine row of eyelets along the raglan lines, could also be used.

The dress being worn on the model is 3 inches longer than the pattern calls for, and my sweet niece is NOT tall.
