This airy summer cardigan is quick to knit and easy to wear. The cotton-blend yarn is worked at a loose gauge in a simple lace stitch pattern that resembles the rising columns of bubbles in a fizzy drink.

Optional waist shaping is integrated into the stitch pattern and worked at four places around the body, for a fit that is figure-hugging and curvy. Tiny cap sleeves, a deep v-neckline and narrow stockinette stitch front bands are grounded by a deeply ribbed lower band. The stitch pattern and all shaping is fully charted.

This design knits up quickly on US #10/6mm needles, and is sized from 32-56 inch/81.5-142 cm bust circumference. It is worked using Rowan All Seasons Cotton, or a similar aran-weight cotton blend yarn. It is knit more loosely than the recommended ball band gauge to yield a drapey, airy fabric.
