Elenna, The Hat with a Diagonal Design, was inspired by a sweater that an elderly gentleman was wearing. The sweater appeared to be hand-knit with random patterns going every which way. The look was interesting and fun. With the idea of randomness, Elenna was designed.

The Elenna Hat is very easy to knit. Line by line instructions are included and the hat is knit flat in rows. The seaming of the hat is the trick to the diagonal design. A step-by-step pic tutorial is included for the assembly of Elenna.

The button is decorative and there is not a button hole.

Elenna can be worn different ways. There is neither a front nor a back. The button tab can be worn on either side of the head or in the front or back for a totally different look.

This hat is knit in a very unusual way. It was a challenge for me to design but I love the way it looks. It is so unusual.
