Elfi is a good old school hat – just like my grandmother used to knit for me when I was a little girl. Cables and a
pom-pom are hard to resist although I am not so little anymore. My grandmother’s nickname was Elfi so this pattern
is in memory of her.

This cabled hat is designed to fit average woman’s head.

The pattern uses up almost exactly three skeins of Drops Lima yarn (pom-pom included), so if you are used to knit big swatches, you may want to have one extra skein.

This hat is knitted flat and crocheted together later (using slipped sts crocheted seam). You can easily knit it in the
round
if you prefer so or use a joining technique of your choice.
