Emilio is an eye catching graphical shawl in high contrast colors. It conveys a very different mood based on the colors you choose.

This shawl is designed to keep the knitting interesting. First there is a fast growing increasing section, before long, you’ll be at the decreasing section, the anticipation of the mosaic border will motivate you to finish the body quickly. The long rows make the mosaic pattern easy to memorize without the need of constantly referring to the pattern. As a plus, there are almost no ends to weave in.

The pattern requires no experience in mosaic knitting, making it the perfect project to try this amazing technique.

The zig-zag body is fully charted with complete written instructions. The mosaic border is charted only but comes with partially written instructions to help you learn to read the charts.

Measurements are given in both centimeters and inches.

Gauge

26.5 sts x 30 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in zig-zag pattern on smaller needle, blocked (or one 12-sts zig-zag pattern repeat = 4.5 cm / 1.75 inches)

One pattern repeat of Mosaic Chart B on larger needle measures 10.5 cm / 4.125 inches widthwise and 5.4 cm / 2.125 inches lengthwise, blocked

Gauge is not critical for this design but it affects the finished measurement and yardage.

Finished Size

The shawl measures in 200 cm / 78.75 inches along the long edge and 52 cm / 20.5 inches in depth.
