Inspired by my favorite character in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and one of the bravest women in literature, ´Eowyn is a slouchy beret with an icord cast on edge, topped off with a pom pom. ´Eowyn, a strong noblewoman of Rohan, does her part in saving Middle Earth on the battlefield outside the White City of Minas Tirith in Gondor by killing the Lord of the Nazgûl and keeping the ring out of his grasp.
Designed and knit while on a Lord of the Rings DVD binge, this hat is great for year round wear. The cables are reminiscent of the intertwining horse heads worn by the Riders of Rohan on their breastplates and helmets in Peter Jackson’s films.
