Here is that must-make precious dress for a baby or toddler that is sure to become an instant heirloom for the family! The dress is an intermediate level, top down raglan, with a lace cast on, empire waist, lace skirt, and ruffles at the edge of skirt and short sleeves. Sized for 6 months and 2T in lace weight yarn, this could adapt for larger or smaller sizes with a change in yarn and needles.

Size: Six months (2T). Finished measurements depend on blocking, but are approximately 20 (22) inches (50, 55cm) around chest and 15 (18) inches (37.5, 45cm) long.

Needles: One 16-inch (40cm) US #0 (2.0mm) circular needle,
one 16-inch (40cm) US#1 (2.25mm) circular needle, and one set of double-pointed needles in US #1 (2.25mm) or sizes needed to match gauge.

Gauge: 8 sts/inch (2.5cm) measured over unstretched stockinette stitch on US #1 (2.25mm) needles.

Yarn:
Six months: Three Irish Girls McClellan Lace, 65% merino, 35% bamboo, 500 yds (457m) to 3.5 oz (100g), 2 skeins in Up and Away.
2T: Three Irish Girls McClellan Lace, 65% superwash merino, 35% bamboo, 500 yds (457m) to 3.5 oz (100g), 3 skeins in My Beth.
