Ex Libris by Ursalia

This sweater is inspired by the way sunlight cascades through the trees and comes in through a window, like it’s going through a prism. This is the ideal sweater to wear when reading a good book next to that window with the light shining through. Cables have something inherently vintage and romantic about them and when the temperature starts to drop their coziness and the way they cocoon one is oh so desirable. The cascading pattern on the back echoes the covers of vintage books and gives this beautiful sweater its name; Ex Libris!

Notes
-The sweater is worked from the top down, first back and forth in rows until the V-neck is formed, then joined and worked in the round. Collar stitches are picked up and knit and worked in the round.
-The Back Chart is divided into three sections in order to better fit the page; work through each in turn in numerical order.
-When working the back, the number of stitches included in the charted section increases as you go, first by increases and then by moving the chart markers outwards. When a new marker is placed just before this section, remove both previously placed markers when you encounter them and place another new marker at the end of this section. When working flat charted sections, read right-side rows from right to left, wrong-side rows from left to right, and use wrong-side (WS) versions of key symbols (consult written forms of charts if you are unsure). When working charted sections in the round, read all chart rows from right to left.
