This is a fundraising pattern for my late brother, Mino (1971-2004)

The second cowl “Ezio” from Cowl of Assassins series has bold wide cables. I made the edges more distinctive using ktbl in the rib pattern. It is a relaxed fit. It may be slightly tight at first, but it will loosen up over the time.

I am very happy with the result using Madelinetosh 80/10/10 Worsted in my favorite colorway, Dr. Zhivago’s Sky. A hand dyed yarn will play a fabulous role for this design

Skills required: k, ktbl, p, cables

Sample
Finished size 10.5” high x 16” circumference (26.7cm x 40.6 cm) when not stretched.

Needles: Size US 8 (5.0mm) circular or DPN, and a cable needle

All the proceeds of this pattern will be donated to the Minoru Hokari Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Australian National University. My late brother, Minoru Hokari (“Mino” 1971-2004) died of cancer at the age of 32. The scholarship fund supports young scholars who study Indigenous Australians through fieldwork. We are trying to fully fund it to achieve its perpetuity. Please help.

Please visit Being Connected with HOKARI MINORU to meet Mino.
