Cozy up in these classy cabled flats! These slippers boast a stylish cabled band, seamless construction, and an extra comfy double-knit sole.

A simple, crocheted border (around the sole) adds style and structure. Full instructions for working the crocheted border are included in pattern. (No prior crochet experience needed!)

NOTE: This pattern uses the double knit stitch (as opposed to double knitting). It’s not difficult and creates a great, thick and squishy sole!

Techniques used: German Short Rows (full instructions included in pattern), simple cabling (written directions only), working in the round, picking up sts, crochet chained border (full instructions included in pattern).

Sizes:
S (M, L, XL) to fit women’s US shoe size 5-6 (7-8, 9-10, 11-12)
Fits Foot Length: 8.75 (9.5, 10, 10.75) inches / 22 (24, 25, 27) cm

Yarn:
Knit Picks Simply Wool Bulky:
C1 (Winnie): 100 (110, 115, 125) yds / 92 (100, 105, 115) m
C2 (Wallace): 80 (85, 90, 95) yds / 73 (78, 82, 87) m

Note: If substituting yarn, please note that this yarn is thinner than a traditional bulky yarn. It knits up more like a thick Aran weight yarn. I recommend against using any yarn thinner than Aran weight as you want a dense fabric.

Needles:
US 6 (4 mm) straight (optional); US 6 (4 mm) circular (47” / 120 cm); US 7 (4.5 mm) circular (47” / 120 cm) (for BO); Crochet hook (size H)

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. Gauge is extremely important as stitch and row counts are exact throughout the pattern.

Notions:
Stitch markers; stitch holders, cable needle; tapestry needle;
7/8” buttons or toggles: 2; fabric paint for soles (optional)
