Faithful Companion Scarf
by Carol J. Sulcoski

Faithful Companion Scarf
A truly unisex scarf, made with an easy-to-handle lace stitch pattern. If you’re wondering what to make with a pretty skein of sock yarn other than socks, if you’d like to try a manageable first lace project, if you’re looking for an impressive-looking gift for a dear friend… then this is the pattern for you.
The sample scarf is shown in a yummy Black Bunny Fibers handpainted wool/silk yarn but any BBF sock yarn would work just as well -- as would most fingering weight yarns that are not excessively fuzzy. For best results with a handpaint, select a muted multicolor or a nearly-solid colorway.
