This blanket is composed of a single repeating square, and the border is designed such that you can use it for any size of blanket made using this square. However, the blanket itself is designed to use up most of a ball of each colour; if you make the full blanket, therefore, you should end up with only small quantities of yarn leftover.

You will need Stylecraft Batik in the following colours: raspberry, rose, indigo, old gold, storm, pistachio, heather, coral, cherry, plum, mint, teal, violet, olive, sage, lupin, silver.

You will need one ball of each colour except for silver. You will need 29 balls of silver.

Hook: 4.5mm. Use what feels comfortable to you. I tend to have a tight gauge; use your own judgement as to whether you want to go up or down a hook size, or even two!

Gauge is not essential for this project. My squares are 5.25” across. If your squares are smaller, your blanket will be correspondingly smaller. If your squares are bigger, your blanket will be bigger.

You will also need a tapestry needle for sewing in ends.
